It is highest mountain pass in eastern range of Great Himalayas. And 51 km from Manali. It has elevation of 13000 ft from sea level. It is connector of Spiti and Lahaul valleys with Kullu valley. This pass seperates Beas and Chenab rivers with picturesque views. It has 365 days snow point.
3. Solang valley-Top Manali Tourist places
It is famous winter sports spot. It has magnificent views of snow capped peaks in winter.Activities- Zorbing, Horse ride, Paragliding, skiing only in winter.
Hadimba Devi temple-It is on a hillock surrounded by Deodar forest. Temple is dedicated to Pandava-Bheema’s wife Hadimba Devi. Near to it present her son Ghatotkacha temple. Near to it Siyali Mahadev temple is present.This Peaceful temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva with religious importance and great wood carving.
Manu temple is the shrine of sage Manu as he did penance here. It is near to market.
Nearest temples : Gayatri matha temple, Bijli Mahadev temple, Sharvari maa temple, Bhaseshwar temple.
5. Himachal culture & folk art Museum-It is adjacent to Hadimba temple. Good collection of artifacts, miniature temples & culture of Himachal people are attractions. One can try Himachal culture dress out side museum.
Van Vihar National park – Near to mall road, attractive in kids point of view. It has small boating area. It is woodland with Deodar trees. It has river Beas inside the park, one can spend some time on river side.
Great Himalayan National park– The flora and fauna here are unique due to Himalayas. Go for safari ,if you are lucky you can spot snow leopard, white tiger, black panther, musk deer, fox, squirrels ,hyena and bear.
7. Hot water springs- Manali Tourist places
Vashisht kund– Village has Sage Vashist temple. It is famous for Sulphur Hot Water Springs. One can enjoy hot water springs as bath houses are separated for men and women.
Mani Karan – It is famous place for hot springs, many couple do bath here. Also visit Gurudwar religious centre for Sikhs. Raghunath temple is near good attraction. Temple is on valley top which gives good view.
8. Tibetan Monastery
Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa monastery which is near mall road market. We can see History and culture of Tibetian people. Meditation rooms gives peace of mind. Himalayan Nyingmapa Gompa is another monastery. These are Lord Buddha shrines with pagoda style architecture.

2.Kothi has great view points for valleys and is base camp for trek to Rohtang pass.
10. Bhrigu lake-one can reach by trekking and enjoy awesome views. There are two ways to reach, from Gulabo village or Vashist kund. This lake is sacred lake named after sage Bhrigu. Trek for snow-Hampta pass-day hike.
waterfalls – Rahala & Rozy waterfalls are on the way to Rohtang pass. Jogini waterfalls -trek from Vashist temple(2-3 hrs). Jana waterfalls 35 km from Manali in Naggar way.
Shopping – Finally don’t forget to shop at Mall road and shawl factory. Visit Apple orchards. Taste and pack green and red apples for home.
