In 1813, a Military Battalion was transferred to Ujjaini. Suriti Appaiah is a Doli Bearer in that troop. At the time Cholera broke out in a virulent firm, thousands of people died. Then he, his associates went to Kali Temple at Ujjaini & prayed that if the people were saved, they would install the Goddess idol. It’s 200 years old temple.

3. Sri Akkanna Madanna Mahankali Temple

History: In 17th century Hyderabad was ruled by a king Thanashah. Akkanna & Madanna were the Chief Commander & The Prime Minister. Being true disciples of goddess, they used to perform rituals everyday at temple,before they left for the court.After the demise of brothers, temple was closed & formed a part of the devdi of Nawab. Owner of it later helped local leader to dig the walls.
In 1948 goddess desire to reveal her & appeared in the dream of an old lady telling where the temple existed. After digging, they found the temple hidden behind walls & developed then.
4. Simhavahini Sri Mahankali temple – Famous Durga (Mahankali) temples Hyderabad

There is a large red door at the entrance to this place. It’s part of the old city of Hyderabad & was built in 1907. Prime Minister of Nizam Maharaja KishanPrasad started Bonalu festival here.
5. Sri Jagadamba Mahankali temple, Golkonda Fort – Famous Durga (Mahankali) temples Hyderabad
It’s a small temple on a hillock around 900 years in worship.Later a basic fort was built by Kakatiyas, passed to Nawabs.

6. Balkampet Renuka Yellamma temple
It’s very ancient temple related mother goddess Renuka. Due to order given by his father Parasurama (incarnation of Lord Vishnu) cuts his mother head. and again with his powers make her alive. We can see goddess on the floor, and small well around her.
